Umzumbe Surf House & Surf Camp

One hour south of Durban is this quiet surf sanctuary, guest-house, backpackers and surf school. With private beach front access, Umzumbes blue flag beach, countless empty peaks and famous right hand point break. Accommodations include a surf theme guest house; book a room or the whole house, luxury rustic bungalows or the entire property.

Do you want to learn how to surf or improve your surfing skills?

• We offer safe and fun lessons with our experienced instructors!
• All our lessons include 1 hour instruction, surfboard and rash vest if needed and are available 7 days a week by appointment.
• We carry beginner to advanced surfboards of all shapes and sizes but you are also welcome to bring your own board.
• Not a beginner anymore? No problem! You can book Surf Guiding Sessions as well as Surf Video Analysis to help you refine your techniques and develop a foundation for more advanced surf maneuvers.

Our surf instructors will design your lesson according to your level and make sure to reach your full potential and keep progressing.

Just bring a swimsuit, sunscreen and some water and we will take care of the rest!

● Private Surf Lesson: R400 per person
● Semi Private Surf Lesson: R350 per person (2-4 people)
● Group Surf Lessons: R300 per person (5 people or more)
● Surf Package: 5 lessons for R1850 per person
● Surfboard Rentals: Hardboards Only – R250 per day
